Qualifications

I’m qualified at the UK Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) Level 3, and at Active IQ Level 3. The lowest mark I achieved in my exams was 90%.

REPs is a government-backed system of self-regulation for all instructors, coaches, trainers and teachers involved in the exercise and fitness industry. Registration is achieved and maintained through qualifications and training which are nationally recognised, and which are linked to the National Occupational Standards for exercise and fitness.

Active IQ is a Qualifications and Curriculum Authority-approved awarding body, which certifies courses in the active leisure industry. These certifications act as a benchmark for quality and credibility both for employers, and also for those wishing to join the industry. My Level 3 units included:

- Health, fitness and lifestyle analysis
- Advanced exercise and fitness knowledge
- Advanced resistance training
- Advanced cardiovascular training
- Nutrition and weight management advice
- Plan, market and sell personal training services

I’ve completed the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer course. Since 1987, NASM has been a global leader in providing evidence-based certifications and advanced credentials to health and fitness professionals. The course consists of the following modules:
